WalkAway is an offline-first alarm app developed by CoreByte Studio. No account is required, and the app has no WalkAway cloud account or server database. Alarm setup, challenge verification, and history are handled on your device.

WalkAway does not record, save, or upload live camera footage, camera frames, object photos, or microphone recordings. Camera and microphone input is used only while the relevant challenge is active.

To provide the features you choose, WalkAway stores the following in its private app storage:

• Alarms: time, label, repeat days, enabled state, snooze settings, gradual-volume setting, challenge type, and challenge target name.
• Challenge configuration: QR challenge identifiers, NFC tag identifiers, movement type/repetitions/difficulty/camera choice, voice phrase/locale/strictness, and object-match settings.
• Object fingerprints: three sets of derived numeric descriptors, a descriptor version, match strictness, and enrollment date. These descriptors are measurements calculated from live frames for later comparison; WalkAway does not store the source images or video.
• Alarm history: alarm name, scheduled and dismissal times, challenge method, target label, snoozes used, date, and—when applicable—repetitions and challenge duration.
• Settings: haptics, theme, Strict Mode options, and whether onboarding was completed.
• Short-lived operational state: the currently ringing alarm/queue and pending snooze identifiers with their trigger times, so an interrupted app session can recover correctly.

The camera is used for QR scanning, live object comparison, and movement/body-landmark estimation. Frames are examined while the camera view is active and are not written to a photo or video file by WalkAway.

For an object challenge, WalkAway converts selected live frames into small numeric fingerprints on the device. Only those numeric descriptors are saved with the alarm. They are used for similarity matching and are not the original image. For movement challenges, live body-landmark results are used to count repetitions; the video and landmark stream are not added to alarm history or retained after the live session.

The microphone is active only while a voice challenge is listening. WalkAway streams live audio to the operating system's speech-recognition service, receives recognized text, and compares it with the phrase stored in your alarm. WalkAway does not create or retain an audio recording.

Speech recognition is a platform service supplied by Apple or Google. Depending on your device, language, settings, and platform implementation, that service may process speech on-device or through the platform provider. Any platform processing is governed by your operating-system settings and the provider's privacy terms, not a WalkAway server.

A scanned QR code is read as text and compared with the identifier expected by the alarm. NFC reads the identifier of the physical tag you register. WalkAway does not use either feature to determine your geographic location.

If you choose to share a target QR code, WalkAway creates a temporary PNG of that QR card and passes it to your device's share sheet. The destination you select may retain the file under its own terms. WalkAway does not automatically upload it.

Scheduled alarms, notification content, foreground alarm activity, and authorization status are handled through iOS or Android system services. The operating system may retain scheduled-notification information as needed to deliver it.

• No WalkAway account, profile, email address, or phone number is required
• No location, contacts, photo library, financial information, or health records are requested by the implemented app
• No advertising identifiers, behavioral advertising, or cross-app tracking
• No third-party advertising, product analytics, or crash-reporting SDK
• No WalkAway backend that receives your alarms, scans, challenge results, voice, photos, or footage
• No sale or rental of personal information

• Camera frames, footage, object photos, movement landmarks, and raw microphone audio: not saved by WalkAway; used only during the live challenge session.
• Alarm and challenge data, including object descriptors, voice phrases, and NFC identifiers: retained locally until you delete that alarm, use Clear All Data, reset/delete app data through the operating system, or uninstall the app.
• Alarm history: retained locally until you use Clear All Data, reset/delete app data, or uninstall.
• Ringing state: retained only to recover an active/interrupted alarm and removed when that alarm session is completed or cleaned up.
• Pending snooze state: retained until it fires, is cancelled, expires, or is cleaned up.
• Theme, haptics, Strict Mode, and onboarding choices: remain after the in-app Clear All Data action; remove them by resetting/deleting the app's storage through system settings or uninstalling the app.
• Shared QR PNG: created in temporary app storage for a user-requested share and then subject to operating-system cache management; a copy sent elsewhere is controlled by the selected destination.

Deleting a single alarm removes its saved configuration and challenge data and cancels its app schedule, but does not remove prior history entries. The in-app Clear All Data action cancels current alarm schedules and removes saved alarms and history. WalkAway has no server copy to restore.

Your operating system may include local app data in an encrypted device or cloud backup, depending on your Apple/Google account and backup settings. WalkAway does not control those backup copies; manage or delete them through the applicable platform.

Protection of local data depends on your device passcode, encryption, operating-system security, and backup configuration. Keep your device updated and protected. You can revoke camera, microphone, speech, notification, or NFC access in system settings, but the corresponding feature may stop working.

If you join early access, we collect the full name, email address, device model, optional country, consent status, and submission time that you provide. We use this information only to select and communicate with testers and send WalkAway testing or launch updates. The form sends the submission through Resend, our email-delivery provider, to the CoreByte Studio WalkAway inbox. We do not add this information to the mobile app or sell it.

Early-access submissions and support messages remain in our business mailbox until they are no longer reasonably needed for the program, support, security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. You may unsubscribe or request deletion at any time at walkaway@corebytestudio.com. Deletion may exclude records we must retain by law or limited backup copies awaiting routine expiration.

WalkAway is not directed to children below the minimum digital-consent age applicable where they live. We may update this notice when the product or its data practices change. We will revise the date shown here and provide any further notice required by law.
